Roses!

The other day I added some roses to a clients existing tattoo. She got the bottom rose( seen in 2nd picture) somewhere else along with a quote that she asked me to black out. Her name is actually Rose and so it had more meaning than just a typical rose tattoo. I was really happy to do this for her and get rid of the old quote which had negative meaning for her.
Here are some more black and gray roses I've been working on. This guy is getting a 3/4 sleeve with the names of his close family intertwined with roses. So far, I am very happy with the progress.

Whole 30

I am currently on day 4 of the Whole 30! I think my body is a little farther ahead because we started eating paleo again a couple of weeks ago. I think I already went through the low-carb flue and I am now feeling pretty good. Last night I slept *well* for the first time in months. I didn't toss and turn all night and I remember having some vivid dreams. I woke up today and perked up pretty quick instead of the usual groggy fog that I am used to. I am finally fully committed to making permanent changes in my life. One of my biggest motivations is to be more clear minded. Often, I feel foggy, fatigued and just not all there. I want to be present and happy and more thoughtful and considerate. I am already feeling a difference.

Filigree makes me happy

I am super excited about this chest piece I started a few days ago. My lovely client wanted a beautiful design to cover up two smaller tattoos that she got when she was younger. She really liked the idea of a filigree frame surrounded by roses but wasn't quite sure what else to add. I found out she really loves halloween and autumn so I added some nice pumpkins and a viney filigree design. The second pic shows the victorian lady that we added. Can't wait to see this piece completed!
