Friday Friday

Today is my boyfriend's sister's birthday and I was feeling creative last night so I drew a portrait of one of her sons to give to her as a birthday present. I am really happy with how it turned out and I hope she likes it!

Wow!!

My beautiful best friend got engaged tonight! Holy cow, I am so happy for her! I can't wait to see her ring and give her a big hug.

I made the BEST Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwiches yesterday

Yum Yum

These cookies are chewy and crumbly and super sweet. 

I used the following recipes:

 Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever for the cookies and Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies for the filling.

• 2 cups peanut butter
• 2 cups white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

I like this recipe because it is simple. I did add a 1/2 cup of flour just 'cause. Click the link for directions.

Cookie Filling

• 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
• 3 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 5 tablespoons milk
• You basically mix all the ingredients and keep adding milk until it has a smooth consistency. I needed a lot more than 5 tablespoons.

Freshen Up

Great week marked with quite a few ups and downs. I am making some changes and it feels so good. I am working on forgiving people who have let me down. Today I did a little bit of cleaning, a lot of blog reading and will finish with drawing and tv watching. : )
